About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Bright yellow...

The days are colder now, and we’re waiting for the first real snow. The leaves are gone, the branches are bare, and everything looks a little faded and dull. But, believe it or not, just a couple of months ago the world looked completely different - bright, golden, glowing yellow. I still remember that vibrant day when we drove up into the mountains to see the fall foliage at its peak. We started on Squaw Pass Road and headed toward Echo Lake - Beautiful Sunday high in the mountains.

We passed the lake and kept going a little farther, knowing exactly where to find the best overlook - the valley spread out below us, and the mountain ranges stretching into the distance.

We stayed there for a while... and just enjoyed the views.

And then stayed a little longer...

...and even longer... simply unable to turn around and head home ;)

Eventually, though it was a tough choice, we started the car and were on our way back.

But of course, we couldn’t pass Echo Lake without stopping. A couple of hours earlier, the water had been completely still, and now we were excited to see whether we could catch some reflections…

And it was even better than before - dramatic clouds drifted across the sky, turning the lake into a mirror of light and shadows. We spent far more time there than we planned, but the view was absolutely worth it.

Our final stop was at the same place where we began. We looked back one more time and admired the scene - the bright foliage, the cloud-draped sky, and the mountains glowing in the distance. A perfect farewell to a beautiful day in the high country.
