About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Gooood morning...

Every good morning starts the day before. Especially when you're planning an early start. And the day before, we had an amazing afternoon, with some light rain and double rainbows...

Yeah, the rainbow was big, bright and really vibrant...

...but only for about five minutes, and then it simply disappeared...

But seeing this beauty really helped us get a good night's sleep and wake up early. The next morning, we drove to Belmar Lake shortly before sunrise. We walked slowly and had a wonderful opportunity to watch the sky in the minutes before the sun peeked above the horizon... For those few minutes, we enjoyed a peaceful, pastel-colored sky. Subdued and faded... dark and watercolor-like... and just about to change...

...well, as the sun began to brighten the clouds and climb above the horizon, the sky immediately turned bright and colorful...

...and... you know what... no words can describe the wild, vibrant colors we enjoyed over the next 15 minutes. Just look for yourself!

Right... The best part of a sunrise lasts only a few minutes - just after the sun's rays reach the clouds and the sun itself appears above the horizon... After that, it's just early morning... the light is still dim and the colors are still bright, but they fade quickly before the day colors became bright again...

So, we walked around the lake a couple of times and met half a dozen Snowy Egrets. These beautiful birds waded through the shallow water, looking for breakfast...

...and someone was looking for them ;)

Well, no birds were harmed by this hunter. He was photographing these stunning birds with his big lens, and I bet he got a few good portraits ;)
