What a beautiful song, isn't it? Written in France in 1945, it became popular all around the globe... Well, it is as beautiful as the flowers I want to show you today. ;)

Let me tell you a secret... I love lotuses! I love their simple, yet intricate blooms... So, I can never walk by without stopping and admiring them...

Oops... that's not a lotus. Sorry, I have no idea what this duck is doing here... This post is supposed to be a one-flower show, and here is this lame duck...

Let's leave the bird behind and simply look at the lotuses. This year, we have more pink blooms than white ones, and I think it only makes them even more attractive. Pink suits them, doesn't it?

The lotus is an aquatic plant native to Asia and East Africa. It is also one of the most sacred and symbolic plants across a variety of cultures.

The lotus's ability to bloom from the mud has led it to be revered as a symbol of rebirth and enlightenment, a testament to its resilience and beauty.

Here is this bird again. And somehow it is reflected in the water... Have no idea how it gets here...

In the realm of spirituality, the lotus holds a place of high esteem. Buddhists regard it as an important symbol of enlightenment, its blossoms serving as a metaphor for the journey of the soul from the mud of materialism toward the purity of spiritual awakening.

Similarly, in Hinduism, the lotus is seen as a symbol of divinity and fertility, often associated with the feminine energy of the goddess Lakshmi.

But sometimes, we don't really need to know all of that...

Sometimes it is enough to simply stop, look at a flower, and admire its beauty.

So let's wrap it up and end with the song... one that is just as beautiful as the flower. ;)
