It's that time of year when we forget about the little flowers and
look only at the big trees. Chasing the fall colors and
enjoying their vibrancy, we hardly notice the little sparkles at ground
level.
Let's change that and look down. At the blooms and berries. In all their fall splendor...
The water lilies refuse to fade, and they are as beautiful as
ever... So let's stop for a second and admire these still-closed buds.
California Poppies? In late September? Not sure, and they're not
bright orange, but a pale purple. But you know what? I don't care! They
are as beautiful and simple as California poppies in spring, and that's
all that matters :)
Another water lily. How beautiful!
Autumn crocuses are something you can't miss. They are real
sparkles on the ground and attract the attention of everyone who passes
by. Well... I'm not surprised...
The leaves are changing, and that's a good sign that the flowers
will soon disappear completely. But until that happens, we'll admire
them, right?
