About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Wild, bright and bold. Right, the FLOWERS of Summer!

I love flowers. Any flowers. No exception (okay, you get me, almost no exceptions)... But summer flowers are a special treat. They are bright... they are wild (even when they grow in  gardens) and they are bold... They are special :) And this Prairie Sunflower is one of them. It grows everywhere and attracts not only my attention, but also ton of bees and flies :)

Moving on, I couldn't help but stop and pay homage to this Cupid's Dart...  This plant is known for its striking blue or lavender daisy-like flowers. It thrives in full sun and well-drained soil... well, I guess it does just fine here in Colorado :)

Scarlet Tassel Flower... Not sure if I've seen it before... Bright and eye-catching... Bold and simple... Love it!

Tennessee Purple-Coneflower. Another simple beauty. Coneflowers are common in Denver, so I am not surprised that I found so many of them on my walk... in different colors and sizes, but still strikingly beautiful.

Biennial Gaura always stops me in my tracks. There are never many flowers on any branch, but they bloom for weeks, just replacing each other. It seems to be a survival strategy that really works!

Another coneflower - Cutleaf Coneflower... There was a huge bed of these... the bright yellow flowers attract bees of all kinds, and the area is just buzzing with insects...

Pale Purple Coneflower. Hm... It is pale... it is purple and it is definitely a coneflower :) what else can I say about it?

A White Lily and a damselfly warming up. Isn't it nice to look at?

... and if you get closer and look into the flowers... you can find something bright, contrasting with simple white petals...

Whenever I visit this area, I always stop by the Indian Blanket Flowers flowerbed... And this time was no exception. As usual, I stopped and simply admired them ;)

Another coneflower and Spanish Poppy... well I think this is a time when one flower (coneflower) takes over another (poppie) and dominates the surroundings for a while...

The walk through the Botanical Garden was very pleasant (yes... where else can I find so many bright and beautiful flowers), it charged me with energy and prepared me for another work week ;)
