The Monet Pond in the Denver Botanic Garden has never looked more beautiful than it does this summer. Water lilies and lotuses are in full bloom, and they look absolutely stunning. So... let's take a slow walk around the pond and simply admire the blooms, shall we?
Such a beautiful white lotus! It was just beginning to open, and I found myself returning to it several times as I wandered around the pond.
Here's our resident Black-crowned Night Heron :) You can often spot it near the small deck by the Japanese Garden, hiding in the shade of the maple and pine trees while patiently waiting for breakfast to swim a little closer...
