About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

Morning birds

What can be better than walking around the lake early in the morning and watching birds...The birds that have just woken up and started their day?

And even if you don’t find many birds… you may still find beautiful views ;). Maybe you’ll catch the sun the moment it rises above the horizon and lights everything with gorgeous color.

That morning, I found a lot of gulls wandering in the shallow waters of Belmar Lake. Most of them stayed in small groups, quietly going about their business.

Well… mornings bring some challenges too. The light isn’t always ideal, and even geese fly too fast to capture them properly  :)

But look at this sky! Isn't it beautiful?

Morning birds are mostly slow... They simply stay in the middle of the lake and... wait for something...

Gulls are motionless too, though they are definitely much noisier than others :)

Walking around the lake was peaceful and calm. There were very few people, and I truly enjoyed this quiet time alone with nature and birds.

Geese, ducks and gulls dominated the scene. Not many other species were around - just a pair of hooded mergansers, but they kept their distance and clearly didn’t want to pose.

These two geese appeared out of nowhere and landed loudly with a huge splash, even sending a few gulls into the air (which isn’t an easy task ;) )

While I walked around the lake, the sun got higher and the sky color changed... The birds became more active and... I figured out that it was a signal for me to move along to my next destination.
