About this blog:
We love traveling. We always capture tons of pictures from wherever we've been and we like sharing our traveling experiences with our friends. So, this is how this blog began - as short stories with pictures in an attempt to share where we've been and what we've seen. Even not stories , but just notes. Nothing serious and big. Mostly I'm writing these stories on a rush and sometimes even don't have time to re-read them. So, I apologize in advance for possible typos here and there. There can be some factual errors or inaccuracies and they even might be corrected one day. Don't hesitate to contact me if you find something that needs to be fixed and don't expect these notes to be a perfect novels ;) The stories in this blog are not in chronological order, but I will try to remember to put the date of the trip. So... welcome to this blog and, hopefully, you will find something interesting and have the same feeling we had when we were there. Let's go...
And... by the way... all pictures and texts in this blog are protected by International and USA Copyright laws, so if you'd like to repost or use something on your page - contact me first.
Using anything published here without permission is violation of the law and... it isn't really nice...

One warm day is enough...

What do we all like about Colorado? Changes, I think. Everything is changing rapidly here. The weather is never predictable. And even one warm spring day is enough for all plants to start sprouting leaves, flowers, branches...

All we could see yesterday were buds... But today they are fragrant flowers. White, elegant and stunningly beautiful!

Some trees started with leaves (that sounds reasonable to me)...

And some with flowers (looks a bit risky to me, but who am I to judge?).

Blooming Crabtree is stunning. I would never get tired of seeing them and wish they would go for whole summer...

Hoverflies are busy working on collecting nectar...

I am not sure which I like better - the buds that are just opening or fully blooming branches. They are all so beautiful!

But I definitely love semi-opened buds ;)

How is it that only one flower is fully open, while the rest are still waiting for something?

Love this bush. A nice combination of green leaves and subtle yellow flowers ready to open.

These flowers can be found along roads and trails. So small and simple, and mostly unnoticed. But aren't they beautiful?

They looked small and insignificant when I took this picture... But when I viewed it on the big screen, they looked like a bouquet of roses, didn't they?

Another example of small and quite invisible flowers. They are so tiny and barely show up. But if you move your eyes closer to them, they may surprise you!

The very first bug I found this year! Actually, I only found it in pictures and completely missed it in the field ;) Need to bring glasses next time I go photo-hunting ;)

This is not a thorn... it's a spear!

The pictures were taken on the last day of March 2024.
