Teton Park - just passing by...

Click here to see the last part of our Yellowstone adventure - Yellowstone Park - the last part, I guess...

Next morning we woke up early and immediately left the hotel and headed back to Denver. We stopped by the Yellowstone river and looked around. Last night snow powdered the ground but by morning it had almost completely disappeared.

Only the frost on the grass and the steam rising above the water reminded us of yesterday's disaster...

About 30 minutes later we stopped at the lake and looked at the rugged mountain ridges. We didn't plan to hike in the Teton National Park but wanted to pass by and see the famous mountain peaks.

The Teton peaks are amazing - tough and impressive. They just look unreachable... Hm... probably even unapproachable...

At some point we stayed on the bank of the river and admired the peaks and their reflection. Actually we wanted to stay here all day long and never move.

But... it's always a but... and we had to drive a few hundred miles home, so we climbed in the car and said farewell to Teton and Yellowstone... It was a really nice short trip to see something so different, so unusual from what we can see everyday.

Pictures were taken on September 06, 2010.
