Chihuly Glass under the snow in the Botanic Garden

Chihuly Glass is an art. No doubts about that. It looks great anywhere but especially nice installed in the natural environment. We were so fortunate a few years back when Denver Botanic Garden had Chihuly's sculptures around for almost a year... Look here how nice the glass looks in combination with grass, flowers, leaves and how amazing it looks at night... click here - Chihuly in Botanic garden

A couple weeks after I got these night shots the snow covered the ground and changed everything. So I had a good reason to come back to the Botanic Garden and take a few more pictures with a completely different mood and appearance...

It wasn't good weather actually. Gloomy and the snow was still falling from the sky... But it helped to capture the different state of Chihuly's art... Not the bright and shiny surfaces and rich colors, but faded and kinda blended with the surroundings...

Honestly, I enjoyed every minute I was there, wandering around and looking at the glass plants growing from the snow covered earth...

Walking there, looking around, at some point I figured out I cannot make any big difference between the real plants and glass ones... I know, those made by Dale Chihuly won't fade with the time and look brighter even under the snow... they are blending with the real once so nicely... it was some kind of magic, I guess...
