Castlewood Canyon park again, but from another angle

Just yesterday we were hiking in the Castlewood Canyon park and I told you this is a unique place to visit. But, in fact, it is even better than what we saw during this hike. Wonna to know why? Let's travel a bit and see the same place but from a different angle. And to make it even more interesting, let's travel back in time too ;) Not too much, actually, I don't invite you to see back in a million years, just a few months....

Yesterday we started our hike from the parking lot on the East of the park... Today let's drive to the West entrance and start from there. Even without bright Fall colors you can tell the difference. The views are just not the same (and I mean it). In fact, would you even think this is the same place if I wouldn't tell you? I wouldn't ;)

The creek running down the canyon and the stone walls rising up to the sky... Bright amazing aspen leaves bring so much color and no one can stay untouched by this beauty...

Christmas tree, isn't it? But just natural without any artificial tinsel and gimps...

Actually... this is not Christmas yet, not even Thanksgiving time... But the turkeys are here and they just made our hearts beat fast in anticipation of a holiday dinner. Even we were unable to decide which one - Thanksgiving or Christmas ;)

Just a little bit more of an easy walk and we reached out to see a dam. Not exactly the dam, more like dam ruins... Yeah, this place has a history and not all of it lies deep in time, some is quite fresh, just almost 100 years old...

The sun was shining bright, but it rolled closer to the horizon line, so we definitely needed to turn back and walk to the parking where we left the car. And, honestly, I don't know what direction I liked walking more... Anyway... It was an amazing hike and... I don't know which part of the park I like more... Eastern or Western. I guess - both!
